HOA & Communal Living Team

Welcome to the HOA & Communal Living Team!

The purpose of this team is to develop and implement strategies for converting HOA and communal living (apartments, retirement communities and condominiums) landscapes from traditional imported plants to using resilient and climate appropriate native plants. Team activities include researching and sharing relevant legislation in favor of drought tolerant and native landscaping, identifying and sharing resources, and identifying ways to build support within these communities for growing native plants.

This team meets on Zoom monthly for dynamic conversations and action oriented agendas.

We also curate publicly available materials in our Public Team Files to help others promote native plants in their municipalities.  Our Members-only Team Files are accessible to anyone with an NPRT membership.

How do I join the HOAs & Communal Living team?
